About the founder
Ilya Baklanov founded TourTruth and also builds TripNoted, an app that turns booking emails into organized trip plans.
Ilya designed the TourTruth score, which compares each tour's rating with every other rating on the same booking site, weights it by review count and puts it on one 0–10 scale. Guides start from the listings TourTruth collects and are checked against official sources; each one ends with a note on how it was put together.
