About this tour
Explore the Land of Waterfalls on an Asheville Waterfall Jeep Tour through the mountain scenery of Pisgah National Forest. A custom safari-style jeep carries you along backroads into a landscape of dense forest, cascading water, and sweeping Blue Ridge views.
Along the way, stop to walk to several waterfalls, then travel along the famous Blue Ridge Parkway for long-range views from elevations reaching 5,000 feet. Your guide shares stories about the national forest’s history and points out the flora and fauna that make these mountains distinctive. Bottled water and snacks are provided, and the guide also brings hiking poles, rain gear, and first aid supplies.
Meet at the Basecamp parking lot outside the national forest, where jeeps and signs for AJT guests mark the meeting spot. How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.97 from 453 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Asheville
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.3. Top 3% in Asheville means it ranks in the top 3% of tours in Asheville by this score.
