Explore Acadia with a local guide on a private three-hour tour, choosing your stops and how long to enjoy each scenic view.

About this tour

Discover Acadia through the eyes of a local on a private Bar Harbor Acadia National Park tour. Rather than follow a fixed checklist, explore at a pace that suits your group and enjoy the quiet beauty of this coastal landscape.

Ride in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with private transportation, bottled water, snacks, and park passes included. Your guide shares a personal connection to Acadia and its scenery, from the changing light to the sounds of leaves along the way. You can decide which stops to make and how long to stay, and choose how often to leave the van. Acadia’s roads were designed to reveal the views even when you remain in the vehicle. The tour also includes a Cadillac Mountain entrance pass.

Children are welcome, though you’ll need to bring your own car seats. Folding wheelchairs or mobility equipment that fits in the minivan are welcome. Meet near the Island Explorer bus loading zone in Bar Harbor, across from Reel Pizza and the fire department. Book this three-hour Bar Harbor Acadia National Park tour for a flexible, locally guided day in the park.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.83 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Bar Harbor
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
