Big Island Meadery Experience 75 min

Discover the craft and folklore behind traditional Polish-style mead at a working farm on the Big Island. This 75-minute Big Island Meadery Experience introduces you to handcrafted drinks made with local honey, fruits, herbs, and spices, with ingredients sourced from small farms, including producers on the property.

Meet the mead maker, whose family recipes come from Poland, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how raw ingredients become bold, fermented meads. Weather permitting, take a walk through tropical and native ʻŌhiʻa forest where some ingredients grow. Along the way, stories of Viking gods, warriors, and the legendary Mead of Poetry connect the tasting experience to mead’s ancient roots. Guests receive a 375 ml bottle of handcrafted mead to take home.
