Taste Hawai‘i’s cacao story at Honoli‘i Orchards, a multigenerational family farm recognized at France’s Salon du Chocolat. This 90-minute Hilo Hawaiian craft chocolate tasting brings you close to the fruit, people, and process behind locally made chocolate.

Begin with a seminar on chocolate history, then sample fresh cacao fruit, cacao juice, fermented beans, and seasonal farm produce. The experience also features a curated tasting of more than 10 Hawaiian chocolates, including award-winning bars, alongside cacao tea or brewing chocolate. Passionate guides share the journey from bean to bar and the farm’s commitment to sustainability and agricultural research.

To reach the farm, turn onto Puia/Woa Road from Kulana Street and continue about 1.7 miles. The entrance is on the left after you cross a stream. Discover the flavors of Hawaiian cacao firsthand and enjoy a tasting rooted in the land that grows it.
