Sail from Oceanside Harbor to spot whales, dolphins, and sea lions, with bow-seat views and snacks aboard a 45-foot yacht.
About this tour
Set sail from Oceanside Harbor and reach the open Pacific within minutes on a four-hour adventure aboard the 45-foot yacht Song of David. This Oceanside sailing tour pairs ocean views with the chance to spot whales and dolphins and visit a local sea lion colony.
Take in the water from a custom seat that extends over the bow, or try steering with the yacht’s distinctive teak wheel. On warm summer days, the crew may bring out a tow-behind swim pad for guests to sit on as it moves through the water. La Croix and bottled water, fresh pineapple and strawberries, and a charcuterie board with fruit, dried fruit, and chocolates are included. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages.
Meet at P Dock, north of Joe’s, and enjoy a memorable day on the water. Book this Oceanside sailing tour for a fresh perspective on the Pacific coast.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Carlsbad
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2.
