Sail from Oceanside Harbor aboard a 45-foot yacht, watch for whales and dolphins, and try the bow’s unique over-the-water seat.
About this tour
Set sail from Oceanside Harbor aboard Song of David, a 45-foot teak-filled yacht, and keep watch for whales and dolphins along the coast. This two-hour outing pairs open-water scenery with a comfortable vessel and a distinctive seat at the bow, where you can sit just above the waves and watch for dolphins below.
As the yacht heads out, enjoy the chance to spot marine life and take in the coastal views. You can try steering the vessel upon request, while La Croix sparkling water is provided. Cheese and crackers can be arranged in advance, and strawberries and melon are available upon request. The crew also offers upscale options such as charcuterie and champagne, and mentions three- and four-hour extended experiences.
Join this Oceanside sailing tour for a relaxed way to experience the harbor and nearby waters. Book your place aboard Song of David and see what the day’s voyage brings.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 18 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Carlsbad
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.0. Top 18% in Carlsbad means it ranks in the top 18% of tours in Carlsbad by this score.
