Explore 15 Chicago attractions with a flexible audio tour, choosing your own route, pace, and starting point.

About this tour

Explore Chicago on your own terms with a self-guided audio tour covering 15 attractions. Rather than follow a fixed group route, choose the stops that interest you, set your own pace, and take breaks whenever you like. You can start and finish wherever it suits you, and spread your visit across several days.

Before your selected start time, you’ll receive two private links through the booking platform: an audio playlist with guides for the attractions and an interactive itinerary map with individual audio links. Open the playlist in a web browser to listen as you arrive at each stop, and use the map to locate attractions and access their guides. The links remain available for up to 6 days, giving you room to shape the experience around your plans.

Bring a charged smartphone, headphones, and internet access. Entry fees and transportation are not included. Make your own way through Chicago’s sights and discover the city at a pace that feels right for you.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.89 from 9 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Chicago
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.6.
