Speed across the Gulf on a 60-minute Clearwater dolphin tour, with guaranteed sightings and dolphins often playing in the boat’s wake.

About this tour

Set out from Clearwater for a fast-paced ride across the Gulf of Mexico, where dolphins may swim alongside the boat and leap through its wake. This 60-minute Clearwater Dolphin Watching Speed Boat tour uses a 73-foot, diesel-powered vessel with a Deep-V design, built to cover more water offshore. The provider says dolphin sightings are guaranteed.

A licensed captain and crew lead the trip aboard a Coast Guard-inspected passenger vessel. Bottled water is provided, while soda, beer, and hard seltzer are available to buy on board. The boat has two bathrooms, and the experience is described as suitable for all fitness levels. Tours depart daily at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Arrive 45 minutes early due to marina construction.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.87 from 408 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Clearwater
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.8. Top 33% in Clearwater means it ranks in the top 33% of tours in Clearwater by this score.
