Colorado Springs Mining Museum Entry

Discover the stories, science, and machinery behind Colorado’s mining heritage at the Western Museum of Mining & Industry. This Colorado Springs Mining Museum visit brings the region’s industrial past to life through vivid mineral displays, hands-on exhibits, and historic equipment.

Admire the expanded fluorescent mineral display, where specimens glow under ultraviolet light, then explore indoor exhibits that show how mining shaped the American West. Walk through a mine drift built with mining experts and encounter the Chilean Miners Rescue Pod and the 1895 Corliss Steam Engine. When demonstrations are operating, the sights and sounds of working historic machines add an extra dimension to the experience; noise levels can be high, so hearing protection is recommended.

Take time to browse the museum’s collection of fluorescent minerals and finish your visit at the on-site shop, open during regular museum hours. With access to all indoor exhibits included, this Colorado Springs Mining Museum entry offers an engaging way to connect with the people, technology, and resources that shaped the region. Explore at your own pace and discover a different side of Colorado Springs.
