Cruise Crystal River from a covered, comfortable boat and watch for manatees, otters, turtles, and osprey without getting in the water.

About this tour

See why Crystal River is known as the home of the manatee on a relaxed eco cruise that keeps you high and dry. From a covered, comfortable boat, take in the views of the wildlife refuge and watch the water for signs of local wildlife.

Manatees may appear alongside river otters, turtles, osprey, and other species. This is a boat-based wildlife tour, not a swim tour, so you can enjoy the scenery without getting in the water. The 90-minute cruise offers a comfortable way to experience Crystal River’s natural surroundings, with parking fees included.

Join a Crystal River eco cruise and keep your camera ready as you explore this wildlife-rich waterway from the boat.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4.
