Swim with manatees in Crystal River’s clear springs on a three-hour trip with an in-water guide, wetsuit, and free photos.

About this tour

Meet the gentle giants of Florida’s Nature Coast on a Crystal River manatee swim, where clear spring water offers a memorable setting for an up-close wildlife encounter. Manatees gather in the springs to stay warm, and knowledgeable captains and in-water guides help you look for them.

The three-hour experience includes use of snorkeling equipment and a wetsuit, plus bottled water and hot chocolate to enjoy along the way. Free photos and videos let you keep a record of your time on the water. Children aboard also receive a complimentary treasure chest. Tours run year-round, though manatees are especially drawn to the springs during cooler months.

After parking, meet your group at Boat Slip 106. With a maximum of six passengers, this Crystal River manatee swim offers a small-group way to experience the area’s remarkable wildlife. Book your outing and get ready to see why these warm-water springs attract manatees.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 10 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.6. Top 49% in Crystal River means it ranks in the top 49% of tours in Crystal River by this score.
