Cruise Kings Bay in search of wild manatees, with chances to spot birds, turtles, and dolphins from a USCG-certified vessel.

About this tour

Set out across Kings Bay Wildlife Refuge on a dry, comfortable cruise in search of Crystal River’s famous wild manatees. Aboard a USCG-certified vessel, your captain guides you through the refuge waters, where manatees share their habitat with birds, turtles, and, occasionally, dolphins.

This 90-minute Crystal River Manatee Viewing Cruise offers a chance to observe wildlife without entering the water. Meet at Explorida Adventure Center, then take the shuttle to the marina and board the boat. Wildlife is unpredictable, so every trip brings different conditions and sightings. Bring polarized sunglasses, keep watch across the water, and enjoy the scenery as your captain searches for the animals that make Crystal River known as the Manatee Capital of the World.

Choose the Crystal River Manatee Viewing Cruise for an easygoing way to experience the refuge from the water. Reserve your spot and see what the bay reveals.

How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
