Snorkel or scuba dive Florida’s clear Rainbow River, spotting wildlife, fossils, and sunfish on a 210-minute drift tour.
About this tour
Trade the usual river view for a clear-water drift through Florida’s Rainbow River. This 210-minute outing invites snorkelers, scuba divers, and riders to enjoy the spring-fed scenery, with visibility described as reaching more than 200 feet.
As you move along the river, watch for fish, turtles, and other wildlife, and look down among the springs for fossils. The drift ends near a small cavern where sunfish gather. A wetsuit and a US Coast Guard-certified captain are included; equipment can be rented at check-in. Scuba divers need open-water certification or higher, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your swimsuit and towel, and arrive 30 minutes early to check in.
Choose this Florida Rainbow River snorkel tour for an easygoing way to explore the water and its natural details. Book your spot and get ready to see the river from below the surface.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.80 from 126 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
