Snorkel Florida’s Nature Coast grass flats on a private scalloping trip, with gear, bottled water, and chances to spot coastal wildlife.
About this tour
Set out on a Florida Scalloping Adventure along the Nature Coast, where clear Gulf water and seagrass beds turn a day on the water into an underwater treasure hunt. This private 5-hour outing takes you by boat to shallow grass flats, where you can snorkel and look for bay scallops tucked among the seagrass.
Masks, snorkels, fins, a dive bag, and bottled water are provided. No prior experience is necessary, and you’ll receive guidance to help you enjoy the search. Between swims, watch for dolphins, sea turtles, and birds along the coast. Bring your own snacks or food, and enjoy a relaxed outing with family, friends, or a small group. Parking is included at the marina behind Days Inn Hotel, at slip #2.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
