Race through Homosassa River mangroves on a 60-minute airboat ride, with a local guide and chances to spot dolphins, birds, and manatees.

About this tour

Feel the rush of a high-speed ride through Florida’s coastal waterways on a Homosassa Airboat Tour. This 60-minute adventure follows the mangroves and shallow channels of the Homosassa River, reaching speeds of up to 35 mph aboard a custom-built airboat.

Your local guide takes you beyond the routes used by conventional boats, then slows down so you can take in the scenery and look for wildlife. Dolphins, birds, and manatees may appear along the way, and every trip brings a different mix of sights. Stadium-style seating offers an unobstructed view, while hearing protection helps make the ride more comfortable.

Meet at the PT Airboat Adventures office beside Crump's Landing and check in before boarding. Bring your sense of adventure and a camera, then discover the wild side of the river on a Homosassa Airboat Tour.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.50 from 30 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.2.
