Explore Homosassa's river, mangroves, and Gulf reefs on a guided airboat ride with chances to spot dolphins, birds, and manatees.

About this tour

Explore the Gulf Coast by airboat on a 90-minute journey through the Homosassa River, mangroves, shallow waters, and Gulf of Mexico reefs. This Homosassa Eco Airboat Tour ventures into places conventional boats cannot easily reach, bringing you closer to the region's wild landscapes.

A local guide shares insights into the area's wildlife and history as you travel. Keep watch for dolphins, birds, and manatees in their natural habitat. The boat slows at wildlife sightings, giving you time to take in the scenery and capture photos. Each trip offers a different mix of sights, so the experience unfolds with the conditions and wildlife of the day. Hearing protection and stadium-style seating are provided for the ride.

Check in at the PT Airboat Adventures office beside Crump's Landing, with parking across the street in the gravel lot. Choose the Homosassa Eco Airboat Tour for a lively, nature-focused way to discover the Gulf Coast beyond the usual routes.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.85 from 34 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Crystal River
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3.
