About this tour

Bronze longhorns, red sandstone, and the landmark plaza where history took a turn: downtown Dallas is made for exploring on foot. This self-guided Dallas Walking Tour turns the city into an interactive scavenger hunt, with riddles and challenges leading you between notable sights.

Start when you like, follow marked locations on the app’s live map, and take breaks at your own pace. Along the way, see the bronze cattle drive at Pioneer Plaza, admire the Romanesque Old Red Courthouse, and pause at Dealey Plaza, a National Historic Landmark. Trivia, photo tasks, and a points system add a playful edge, while stories, history, and local legends bring the city’s past into view. There’s no live guide or required entrance fee; the puzzles focus on public areas. The experience takes about two hours, and the app is available in 24 languages, with the full list shown when booking.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.76 from 17 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Dallas
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
