Paddle 4.5 miles of quiet Yellow River channels, watch for wildlife, and pause for snacks and water amid peaceful Florida scenery.

About this tour

Trade busy beaches and boat engines for the quiet waterways of the Yellow River. On this Yellow River Kayak Tour, your guide starts with a brief introduction and helps everyone get comfortable in their kayak before you set off.

Paddle a peaceful 4.5-mile route through calm channels and winding waterways, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Keep an eye out for turtles basking in the sun and listen for birds calling from the banks. With luck, you may even spot a shy alligator moving through the water. About halfway along, take a break for snacks and bottled water while enjoying the tranquil scenery. Then continue paddling back to the launch, refreshed by a slower-paced look at Florida’s wild side.

Meet at Browns Fish Camp Boat Ramp at the end of Ward Basin Road and look for the white van with the tour logo. Choose this Yellow River Kayak Tour for a peaceful outing on the water, with kayaking gear provided and time to simply take in the surroundings.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 4 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Destin
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3. Top 43% in Destin means it ranks in the top 43% of tours in Destin by this score.
