Meet at the Front Desk Yurt on Himalaya Road 15 minutes before your activity; the drive to basecamp can take up to an hour. Dinner reservations begin at 8:00 p.m. and include soup or salad, a steak or chicken entree, and dessert. Alcohol, appetizers, and other add-ons are available for purchase. While you wait, enjoy the lounge and free Wi-Fi. At 10:00 p.m., staff present the science and folklore of the northern lights. If the aurora appears, they’ll let you know where to look. An optional photography session costs $60 per person.

Plan your own drive in a 4WD vehicle with winter tires, and make an evening of dinner, stories, and sky watching. The yurt closes at 2:00 a.m.
