Watch for the Northern Lights from a cozy glass house at Cleary Summit, with panoramic windows, snacks, and portrait photography when visible.

About this tour

Experience the Northern Lights from a cozy glass house atop Cleary Summit, where floor-to-ceiling windows open onto wide views of Alaska’s dark skies. This 5-hour outing takes you by guided transfer to the 270° Aurora Glass House, away from city lights and set up for comfortable aurora watching.

Settle inside to scan the sky through the panoramic windows, or step outdoors whenever you like for a closer look. While you wait, enjoy hot cocoa, coffee, and snacks. If the aurora appears, portrait photography offers a way to capture the moment. An air-conditioned vehicle provides the transfer, and water is included.

The Cleary Summit Northern Lights Glass House Tour pairs a warm indoor retreat with the chance to experience the night sky outside. Book your visit and keep watch for the aurora from this remote Alaska setting.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.67 from 254 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Fairbanks
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.1.
