Search Fairbanks skies for the northern lights on a private tour with live aurora tracking, accommodation pickup, and portraits when the lights appear.
About this tour
Follow the northern lights across the Fairbanks night sky on a private tour with Maia, an aurora guide and photographer who tracks live space weather data to choose where to go. With your group alone in the vehicle, you can settle into the night at your own pace and spend longer at a stop when you want time for photos.
Your guide picks you up at your Fairbanks accommodation and takes you to look for clear skies and auroral activity. The outing usually lasts 4–8 hours, depending on darkness and conditions. When the lights appear, Maia takes at least one web-quality portrait of each person, along with group photos. The private format welcomes all ages and suits guests seeking a more personal evening beneath Alaska’s vast winter sky.
Aurora sightings and photo opportunities cannot be guaranteed. Once pickup begins, the tour is nonrefundable, even if clouds or low activity keep the lights out of view. Book your Fairbanks Northern Lights Tour with Photos for a personal, photo-ready search beneath the Arctic sky.

How this score is calculated
This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.
How the score works
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
