Cruise Estero Bay, watch for dolphins and coastal birds, and spend about an hour shelling or relaxing on an island.
About this tour
Set out across Estero Bay on a Fort Myers Beach Dolphin and Shelling Cruise, where island shores, coastal birds, and the chance to spot dolphins make for a memorable day on the water. A naturalist or biologist shares insight into the area’s ecosystem as you cruise through local wildlife habitats.
Keep watch for dolphins, manatees, and other wildlife throughout the trip; sightings can happen at any time and are not guaranteed. The cruise also visits an island, where you’ll have about an hour to look for seashells, sunbathe, or wade in the water. Birdlife adds another reason to scan the skies and shoreline along the way.
With a maximum of 28 passengers and a restroom on board, the Fort Myers Beach Dolphin and Shelling Cruise offers room to enjoy the views. Meet your guide by the large dolphin statue at Snook Bight Marina 15 minutes before departure. Book your cruise and experience the natural beauty of Estero Bay.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.93 from 192 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Fort Myers
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.5. Top 9% in Fort Myers means it ranks in the top 9% of tours in Fort Myers by this score.
