Sail from Salty Sam's Marina toward the Gulf, watching for dolphins, sea turtles, and coastal birds aboard Orion's Child.

About this tour

Set sail from Salty Sam's Marina and leave the shoreline behind on a Fort Myers sailboat tour aboard Orion's Child. As the boat heads past the shrimp fleet and waterfront homes toward the Gulf of Mexico, take in the coastal scenery and watch for dolphins, sea turtles, and birds.

Once beyond the marked channel, the crew raises the sails and switches off the motor when conditions allow. The captain may steer toward the Sanibel lighthouse or along Fort Myers Beach, depending on the wind. This 150-minute outing offers a relaxed way to experience the water aboard a well-maintained sailboat, with a restroom on board and space for up to six guests. You can bring drinks in bottles or cans, subject to restrictions on glass stemware and staining items.

Arrive at C Dock, slip C-18, 10 minutes before departure, and plan ahead for possible beach traffic. Book your Fort Myers sailboat tour for a breezy Gulf outing and a fresh perspective on the coast.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 92 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Fort Myers
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.1. Top 2% in Fort Myers means it ranks in the top 2% of tours in Fort Myers by this score.
