Join Lady Saelym’s crew on a 75-minute Galveston pirate adventure filled with history, legends, humor, and interactive storytelling.

About this tour

Step into Galveston’s pirate past as a new member of Lady Saelym’s crew. This 75-minute walking adventure brings history to life with theatrical storytelling, audience participation, and a dash of mischief.

Follow tales of Jean Lafitte, Louis Aury, and the infamous Kingdom of Campeche while discovering what life, work, and adventure were like for a pirate crew. Rather than simply listening, you’ll take part in the experience and earn pirate ranks along the way. Historical details mingle with legends, lore, and humor, making this a lively alternative to a traditional history tour.

Your guide, Lady Saelym, leads the way through Galveston’s colorful pirate era. Meet at A Pirate’s Life on The Strand at least 10 minutes before departure, then get ready to join the crew. Book your Galveston pirate walking tour and bring the island’s swashbuckling stories to life.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 8 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Galveston
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.5. Top 20% in Galveston means it ranks in the top 20% of tours in Galveston by this score.
