Yellowstone Winter Wolf and Wildlife Tour 8 hr

Follow Yellowstone’s winter wildlife into a landscape shaped by cold, snow, and the search for food. On this Yellowstone Winter Wolf and Wildlife Tour, an experienced naturalist guides you through the park, with Lamar Valley offering a chance to look for wolves, elk, and bison near the roadways.

As elk and bison move to lower elevations, wolves follow their prey. Watch the changing balance between predator and prey while learning about Yellowstone’s wildlife management history and the challenges animals face during the coldest months. Binoculars and spotting scopes help you scan the open terrain, and private transportation, a complimentary lunch, and hot drinks make the day more comfortable. Meet outside the Gardiner Chamber of Commerce or arrange pickup at your Gardiner accommodation. The eight-hour tour includes time for transportation; the park entrance pass is not included.

See Yellowstone’s winter wildlife with an experienced guide and discover the stories unfolding across the park’s snowy valleys.
