About this tour

Explore Gettysburg’s Devil’s Den, where towering boulders and rugged terrain frame the story of fierce fighting during the Battle of Gettysburg. This self-guided walking tour lets you discover the historic landscape at your own pace, with GPS-triggered audio bringing the battlefield’s soldiers, generals, and sharpshooters into view.

Begin on Sickles Avenue or join the route at a point shown in the app. As you walk among the rocks, listen to stories about the struggle for this strategic position and follow GPS guidance from one stop to the next. Pause for photos, a hike, or a picnic whenever you wish. The tour works offline once downloaded, and lifetime access means you can revisit it on future trips.

Before you go, download the separate Audio Tour Guide app by Action and set up your tour while connected to Wi-Fi or strong cellular service. Gettysburg Devil’s Den walking tour access does not include admission, parking, or a live guide, so check opening hours and plan those separately. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.06 from 16 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Gettysburg
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.3.
