Solve phone-based mysteries among Gettysburg’s monuments, battle sites, and ghost-story landmarks at your own pace.

About this tour

Turn Gettysburg into an outdoor mystery, with every clue waiting in the landscape. This self-guided Gettysburg Self-Guided Outdoor Mystery Game plays in your phone browser, with no guide, reservation, or set start time.

Choose one of three stories. In The Drummer Boy’s Secret, junior agents count their way across five monuments. The Turning Point follows the battle in chronological order, from woods west of town to the cemetery where Lincoln spoke; seven engraved words each reveal a letter. The Unquiet Field uses local ghost stories to open a path into documented history, with stops including a historic covered bridge, Devil’s Den, and Little Round Top. Answers appear on permanent, publicly visible features, so you’ll need to be there to solve them.

Start at the location shown on your voucher, open your game link, and explore at your own pace. Drive between stops, walk the final hundred yards, and replay your link as often as you like during your visit. Pick a mystery and see Gettysburg with a sharper eye.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
