About this tour
Trade the bustle of Icy Strait Point for a quieter view of Hoonah on this 90-minute sound journey. A local guide introduces you to life in this Tlingit village before taking you to a private lodge, where the deck opens onto Alaska’s natural beauty.
Settle in with herbal tea or hot cocoa and local sweets as you take in the forest, water, and mountains. Then let the resonant tones of crystal bowls, a gong, and chimes create a peaceful pause in your day. With a group limited to six, the experience offers an intimate way to slow down and connect with the surroundings.
This Hoonah sound journey includes private transportation and a live English-speaking guide. Meet outside the Icy Strait Point security booth; the walk from the gondola takes about 15 minutes. Choose this Hoonah experience for a restorative break amid Alaska’s scenery.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Hoonah
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4. Top 48% in Hoonah means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Hoonah by this score.
