Snorkel above Key Largo’s Christ of the Abyss statue, then explore a second captain-selected reef on this four-hour boat trip.

About this tour

See one of the Florida Keys’ most memorable underwater landmarks on a Key Largo Christ of the Abyss snorkel tour. The nine-foot bronze statue has rested on the ocean floor since 1965, and in clear water you can admire it from the surface without scuba gear.

Check in at Scuba-Fun Dive Center in Key Largo, collect your included mask, snorkel, and fins, then board the boat for the ride to the reef. After a safety briefing, explore the statue site and surrounding reef. The captain then chooses a second reef based on the day’s wind, tide, current, and visibility, giving you another chance to see coral and marine life. Crew members provide support in the water, and no previous snorkeling experience is required, though you must be a comfortable swimmer.

The approximately four-hour outing includes two in-water stops and boat transportation to and from the sites. Snacks, beverages, reef-safe sunscreen, gratuity, and a snorkel guide are not included. Choose this Key Largo Christ of the Abyss snorkel tour for a landmark encounter paired with a captain-selected reef visit.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 4.49 from 4 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Key Largo
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
