Meet Amish hosts at a farm, a craftsman’s workplace, and a family home on this intimate three-hour Lancaster tour.
About this tour
Go beyond the usual sights and meet members of Lancaster’s Amish community where they live and work. This three-hour Amish Experience Visit-in-Person Tour welcomes a small group of up to 14 guests for personal encounters made possible by the tour’s longstanding local relationships.
Travel by 14-passenger bus between three stops. Visit an Amish farm during milking time, step behind the scenes with an Amish craftsman, and sit down for a conversation with an Amish family in their home. A local guide accompanies the experience, connecting each visit as you discover everyday life and work in the community.
The Lancaster Amish Experience Visit-in-Person Tour offers a rare chance to listen, ask questions, and share time with your hosts. Check in at the theater box office in the east parking lot at least 15 minutes before departure, then set out for a thoughtful, small-group visit.

How this score is calculated
This tour scores 4.84 on Viator and 4.55 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.
How the score works and rating distribution in Lancaster
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4. Top 34% in Lancaster means it ranks in the top 34% of tours in Lancaster by this score.
