Drive your own modified Jeep through Nellis desert trails, with a guide leading the way and photos, videos, snacks, and water included.

About this tour

Take the wheel and trade the Las Vegas Strip for the rugged terrain of the Nellis desert. This Las Vegas Nellis Desert Self-Drive Jeep Tour puts you in control of a modified Rock Crawler while a professional guide leads the way in a separate Jeep.

After a safety briefing and an introduction to the Jeep’s features, head out across sandy washes, gravel trails, rocky climbs, steep hills, and desert ravines. Stay in touch with your guide using a rugged radio as you navigate the changing terrain. No previous off-road experience is required, and eligible drivers can switch during the tour so more than one qualified guest can take a turn behind the wheel.

The three-hour adventure includes the Jeep, fuel, off-road fees, bottled water, snacks, and photos and videos taken by your guide. Meet at Las Vegas Rock Crawlers on W Naples Drive, about a mile west of the Strip, and arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Book your Las Vegas Nellis Desert Self-Drive Jeep Tour for a hands-on escape into the desert.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 3 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Las Vegas
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3. Top 37% in Las Vegas means it ranks in the top 37% of tours in Las Vegas by this score.
