Walk the Las Vegas Strip with historian Jim Rossi and uncover the stories behind its iconic resorts, famous figures, and hidden past.

About this tour

Walk through the heart of Las Vegas and uncover the stories beneath the Strip’s bright lights on this two-hour history tour. Led by local historian and author Jim Rossi, the Las Vegas History Walking Tour of the Strip connects iconic resorts with the people, ambitions, and scandals that shaped the city.

Begin at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, where the tour explores the legacy of Bugsy Siegel and his lavish vision for Las Vegas. You may also catch a glimpse of live pink flamingos. Continue past the Wynn and across the historic grounds of the Sands, now the Venetian, once a celebrated Rat Pack hangout. At Caesars Palace, hear how the resort’s construction was financed, then finish at the former site of the Dunes, now the Bellagio, with stories of the casino’s past. The route brings the city’s history into view as you walk among its famous landmarks.

Join the Las Vegas History Walking Tour of the Strip for a closer look at the stories behind the spectacle.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
