Leave the Las Vegas Strip behind for rugged Mojave trails, desert wildlife, mountain views, and a stop at historic Pioneer Saloon.

About this tour

Trade the Las Vegas Strip for open desert, rugged trails, and the history of Nevada’s Old West. This Las Vegas Off-Road Jeep Adventure takes you into Cottonwood Valley, where mountain views and wide-open Mojave scenery set the stage for a memorable day outdoors.

Set out in a 4x4 along a route through challenging desert terrain, with stops for overlooks, mining history, and wildlife spotting. Keep watch for bighorn sheep, burros, wild horses, and other desert animals. Depending on the option you choose, you can explore with a live English guide or drive yourself using a curated route and local tips. Snacks, water, a cooler, and a first aid kit are provided.

The journey also leads to historic Goodsprings and Pioneer Saloon, a storied Old West stop with a connection to Fallout: New Vegas. Begin at the provider’s Las Vegas office to complete the waiver and receive your vehicle and equipment. Choose the guided or self-guided option, then head out to discover a wilder side of the city on this Las Vegas Off-Road Jeep Adventure.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 5.00 on Viator and 4.95 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Las Vegas
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.6. Top 8% in Las Vegas means it ranks in the top 8% of tours in Las Vegas by this score.
