About this tour

Trade the Las Vegas bustle for a day among the fiery red cliffs of Valley of Fire. On this 7-hour guided hiking adventure, explore the Mojave Desert’s striking Aztec sandstone and encounter petroglyphs carved thousands of years ago. A scenic drive through Lake Mead National Recreation Area sets the stage for a day of desert landscapes and ancient stories.

Follow your guide to celebrated sights including Fire Wave, Petroglyph Canyon, and Pastel Canyon, with hiking options described as suitable for different ability levels. Along the way, learn about the area’s history and geology, and enjoy included water and snacks. Hotel pickup and drop-off, park entry fees, and a stop at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign are also part of the experience. After the hike, raise a local craft beer to your desert adventure.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Las Vegas
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Las Vegas means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Las Vegas by this score.
