Travel from Central London to Cambridge by private vehicle, enjoy a River Cam punting ride, and explore the city at your own pace.

About this tour

Leave London behind for a day in Cambridge, where historic college buildings, graceful bridges, and riverside paths set the scene. This Cambridge private day trip pairs round-trip transportation from Central London with a classic punting ride on the River Cam, so you can enjoy the city without arranging train connections or local transport.

Glide along the river past the famous college Backs and take in Cambridge from the water. Then spend free time exploring at your own pace: stroll the riverside, browse Market Square, visit a museum, or pause for coffee in a courtyard. A professional, licensed driver handles the journey in an air-conditioned vehicle, while the punting experience is provided by a local Cambridge partner and included in the package price.

The operator confirms your pickup time the day before, and your driver will contact you shortly before pickup to confirm the exact location. Make the most of your visit with a Cambridge private day trip that combines easy transport, time to explore, and a memorable ride on the River Cam.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
