Follow the Changing of the Guard through London, finding lively viewpoints and seeing the ceremony unfold beyond Buckingham Palace’s gates.

About this tour

See the Changing of the Guard from the streets and viewpoints around Buckingham Palace on this four-hour London walking tour. Rather than waiting in one place among the crowds at the palace gates, follow the ceremony as it unfolds and catch several of its memorable stages.

Watch the inspection, the Old Guard and the New Guard, then see the Guards and ceremonial bands on the move. The route takes you between different vantage points, with the chance to march alongside the band and sample local treats. This is a fast-paced walk, so expect to keep moving; the route includes at least one flight of steps and is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Green Park is close to Buckingham Palace, with nearby Underground and bus connections.

Choose this London Changing of the Guard Walking Tour for an active, close-up look at a centuries-old tradition. Book your place and experience the ceremony beyond the palace gates.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works

Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
