Solve Balthasar's murder as you follow clues past Trafalgar Square and other historic sights in a self-guided London mystery game.
About this tour
Turn London's old center into a crime scene in this self-guided detective game. The case: the murder of Balthasar. Clues wait in plain sight as you explore the streets around Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column, St Martin-in-the-Fields, and Banqueting House.
Use the app to decode messages, photograph details that seem out of place, and question digital witnesses whose stories do not quite match. Each puzzle you solve helps narrow the list of suspects. The game lasts 120 minutes, so you can investigate at your own pace while taking in the historic surroundings. Play as a couple, bring the children, or set multiple teams loose at once and make the case a friendly race.
This London Self-Guided Detective Murder Mystery Game blends a city walk with a collaborative puzzle challenge, making it a lively choice for a day out or team gathering. Gather your fellow detectives, follow the evidence, and see if you can uncover the final answer hidden somewhere in central London.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in London
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
