About this tour

Get a feel for helicopter flight without leaving the ground in this 60-minute Long Beach helicopter simulator experience. A full-motion simulator with ultra-realistic 4K graphics recreates the controls and sensations of flying, offering an engaging introduction to how a helicopter responds in the air.

With live commentary and a headset, explore the basics of hovering, takeoff, forward flight, and landing. The session gives you a chance to see how the controls work together across different stages of flight, whether you are curious about aviation or considering future pilot training. Afterward, knowledgeable staff can share information about the next steps toward helicopter flight training. An upgrade to fly an actual aircraft may be available on the day, subject to time and availability.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
