Waccamaw River Kayak Tour to a Private Island

Paddle through the Waccamaw River’s quiet waterways on a guided kayak tour, with a 48-acre private island waiting to explore. Along the way, learn about the local wildlife, trees, and plants that shape this river landscape. Each outing brings its own surprises: seasonal changes and unpredictable nature mean no two tours are quite alike.

Keep watch for turtles, fish, nonvenomous water snakes, squirrels, cranes, herons, kites, egrets, pileated woodpeckers, baby toads, dragonflies, and lizards. Deer, bald eagles, wild hogs, river otters, muskrats, beavers, alligators, and black bears are possible, though rarely seen. Your professional guide provides a kayak, paddle, and life jacket, so you can focus on the scenery and the wildlife around you.

Spend two hours discovering the Waccamaw River by kayak and see what the day’s journey reveals.
