Explore Louisiana’s swamp with Cajun Pride, then choose Oak Alley or St. Joseph Plantation on this 450-minute combination tour.

About this tour

Explore Louisiana’s bayou and swamp before stepping into plantation history on this 450-minute combination tour. Begin at Cajun Pride Swamp Tours for an educational journey into the early days of bayou and swamp exploration. Then choose to visit either Oak Alley Plantation or St. Joseph Plantation.

The swamp’s location near the plantations means less time traveling between stops than on many other combination tours. An air-conditioned vehicle provides transport, and a live guide speaks English. The tour includes your selected plantation visit, but food and drinks are not provided. Since the day is long, bring a bagged lunch or snack; snacks are available for purchase at the swamp, and a hearty breakfast is recommended.

Discover Louisiana’s wetlands and plantation heritage in one outing. Choose your preferred plantation and enjoy a convenient way to experience both sides of the region.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.77 from 26 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New Orleans
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
