About this tour
Trade the city streets for the quiet waterways of Bayou Bienvenue, just 20 minutes from the French Quarter. On this New Orleans kayak fishing charter, an expert guide leads you through southeastern Louisiana’s saltwater marshes in search of local fish.
Set out in a premium pedal-drive fishing kayak and explore the inshore channels at an easy pace. Your guide can share tips on casting, baiting, and tracking fish, while provided rods, reels, lures, and tackle let you focus on the experience. A life vest and paddle are also supplied. The six-hour outing welcomes anglers of different experience levels, though children under 8 and people over 250 lbs (113 kg) cannot participate.
Meet at Nola Pedal Barge marina in Chalmette; the group may drive to another launch spot depending on the forecast and fishing reports. A Louisiana fishing license is required separately. Book your New Orleans kayak fishing charter for a hands-on day among the bayou’s marshes.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 4.29 from 7 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in New Orleans
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
