Cruise the Mississippi past French Quarter landmarks, hear live captain's narration, and enjoy skyline views aboard a New Orleans riverboat.

About this tour

See New Orleans from the Mississippi aboard a 75-minute riverboat sightseeing cruise. As the city skyline and historic riverfront unfold around you, live captain's narration brings the Crescent City's history to life, with views of landmarks along the French Quarter. Step out on deck for photo opportunities, or settle in and enjoy the scenery from the boat.

Onboard, full-service bars on every deck and a snack bar offer refreshments as you cruise. Choose from daily departures with boarding at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. The cruise operates rain or shine and is wheelchair accessible, though the top deck is reached by stairs. Departures leave from 101 Saint Louis St, a short stroll from many downtown hotels. Groups of 10 or more should allow extra time to collect physical tickets at the Lighthouse Ticket Office.

Make time for a different view of the city: book your New Orleans riverboat sightseeing cruise and watch the riverfront drift by.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.16 from 207 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New Orleans
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 4.0.
