Walk Harlem’s historic streets with a local guide, hear stories of its cultural legacy, and add a Sunday gospel choir experience.

About this tour

Discover Harlem on a guided walking tour through streets shaped by generations of history, creativity, and community. A knowledgeable local guide leads you to iconic neighborhood locations, historic districts, landmarks, and cultural institutions, with exterior visits along the way.

As you explore, hear stories of Harlem’s African American history, architecture, music, and civil rights legacy. The small-group format offers a more personal way to take in the neighborhood and its defining places. On Sundays, you can add a one-hour gospel choir experience for another perspective on Harlem’s musical traditions.

This Harlem Highlights Walking Tour brings the neighborhood’s stories into focus, one landmark at a time. Choose the optional Sunday add-on if it suits your plans, and come ready to discover Harlem on foot with a local guide.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
