Swap Manhattan’s bustle for Atlantic swims, boardwalk cycling, beachside lunch, and ice cream on a Long Beach day trip from NYC.

About this tour

Escape the city for a day by the Atlantic on a Long Beach Beach Day Trip from NYC. Just 35 miles from Times Square, Long Beach trades Manhattan’s busy streets for ocean air, a sandy shoreline, and a 2.2-mile boardwalk.

Your day includes private transport from Times Square (Marriott Marquis), beach admission, chairs and an umbrella, and bicycles for exploring the boardwalk and nearby streets. A safety tutorial helps you get rolling. Take a break for a sit-down lunch at Riptides Restaurant, where your voucher covers a meal and you can enjoy ocean views. Later, stop at Famous Marvel for a complimentary ice cream. Beach games and volleyball add another way to enjoy the shore, while surf lessons and shopping are optional and not included.

With the main beach-day essentials arranged, you can spend less time planning and more time swimming, cycling, and relaxing. Choose a Long Beach Beach Day Trip from NYC for a refreshing change of pace, then make the most of the coast at your own speed.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 49% in New York City means it ranks in the top 49% of tours in New York City by this score.
