See Liberation on Broadway, a funny and moving play about memory, identity, and the ongoing fight for freedom.
About this tour
Step into a story where personal memories meet the fight for freedom. Liberation, a new Broadway play, begins in 1970s Ohio, where Lizzie gathers a group of women to discuss changing their lives and the world. Years later, her daughter enters her mother's memories and confronts the unfinished revolution Lizzie helped ignite.
Through humor, drama, and poignant moments, the play asks what it means to be free and what it means to be a woman. This limited Broadway engagement explores inheritance and identity with a refreshingly irreverent perspective. Written by Tony Award nominees Bess Wohl and Whitney White, Liberation pairs thoughtful questions with the energy of live theater. The performance runs 2.5 hours and is presented in English. Your ticket is for the play; transportation, food, and drinks are not included. Present your mobile ticket at the entrance of the theater at 138 W 48th St in New York.
Take your seat for a sharp, moving evening on Broadway and discover Liberation for yourself.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 4.83 from 9,591 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.6. Top 1% in New York City means it ranks in the top 1% of tours in New York City by this score.
