About this tour

Travel through 250 years of New York City history on an immersive double-decker bus adventure where the streets around you become part of the story. Guided by Liberty, the Spirit of Freedom, this New York City Immersive XR Bus Tour combines real-world views with interactive virtual worlds, music, narration, and visual effects.

Discover six stories of freedom inspired by the New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal, the Brooklyn Bridge, MoMA, Broadway, and Times Square. An onboard host and technical assistance help you enjoy the XR experience through a provided headset, while a virtual guide brings the journey to life. Rather than simply watching the city pass by, you become a participant in its history.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 49% in New York City means it ranks in the top 49% of tours in New York City by this score.
