Explore New York by flexible hop-on hop-off bus, then cruise the Hudson and East Rivers past iconic landmarks and bridges.

About this tour

See New York from two perspectives: the streets aboard a flexible Hop-On Hop-Off bus and the skyline from the water on a 90-minute cruise. This New York Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour with Cityscape Cruise pairs a 1- or 2-day bus ticket with a narrated journey along the Hudson and East Rivers.

Ride the Downtown Loop and hop off to explore at your own pace. Recorded commentary accompanies the route, while a multilingual audio guide is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. On the cruise, take in views of the Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center, pass Manhattan landmarks, and sail beneath the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Live English narration brings the waterfront sights into focus as you relax aboard a climate-controlled boat with spacious decks.

The cruise departs from Pier 78, and the time selected at checkout is your sailing time. Choose the 1-day option to use both tours on the same day, or the 2-day option to spread out your bus sightseeing. Download the Big Bus app for current route and arrival information. Make room in your New York plans for this easy mix of city exploration and river views.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 3.27 on GetYourGuide (Viator shows no usable rating). Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.7.
