Race through New York Harbor on a 30-minute speedboat ride with skyline views, splash zones, and a photo stop near the Statue of Liberty.

About this tour

Feel New York Harbor come alive on a 30-minute speedboat ride from Downtown NYC. Operated by Circle Line, The BEAST launches from Pier 16 and races across the water at up to 40 knots, or 45 mph, powered by twin Hamilton Jet engines. Hold on through high-speed turns, splash zones, and lively onboard antics as the city skyline sweeps past.

Along the way, take in views of the Brooklyn Bridge and One World Trade Center, then pause near the Statue of Liberty for a photo opportunity. The boat does not land on Liberty Island, and getting wet is part of the ride, so come ready for a fast, splashy adventure. Use 89 South Street for directions to the meeting point; public transportation is available nearby. Book your NYC speedboat ride and see the harbor from a thrilling new angle.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.79 from 14 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
