About this tour
Discover Newport’s historic mansions and coastal scenery on a self-guided audio journey you can take at your own pace. This Newport Self-Guided Audio Tour Bundle: Walk & Drive pairs GPS route guidance with stories that bring the area’s landmarks and hidden gems to life.
Set out from the suggested starting point on America’s Cup Avenue, or join the route wherever it suits you. Follow the app toward celebrated estates such as The Elms and The Breakers, along with natural sights including Easton’s Beach and Fort Adams State Park. Audio plays automatically as you travel, and you can pause for photos, walks, picnics, or a closer look at a stop. The private experience takes place in your own vehicle, and one purchase covers everyone in the car. Download the tour in advance to use its maps and audio offline; walking portions are best enjoyed with headphones.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.06 from 33 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Newport
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.7.
